Want to be an FTTC Teaching Assistant?

The EDS Financial Trading & Technology Center is always looking to hire undergraduate students to fill Teaching Assistant positions.

The position involve teaching workshops to grad and undergrad students on how to use FactSet, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, and Morningstar Encorr; setting up professors with their class; having meetings with professors; researching data for faculty; proctoring lab time for finance students using the data feeds; conducting presentations for community outreach programs; giving tours of the facility to guests of the McCombs School of Business as well as assisting with special projects with the Operations Manager of the FTTC.

Requirements:
• prefer a concentration in Finance
• must be a junior or senior however will consider sophomore only who is highly recommended
• strong working knowledge on Bloomberg, FactSET, Capital IQ, and Morningstar Encorr;
• Bloomberg Certified is a plus
• must have taken at least one session of the Excel Financial Modeling Series
• a great enthusiasm for becoming an “expert” on the programs that the Center offers and teaching those skills to others;
• need good working knowledge of pc-based applications like MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word;
• good communication skills and presentation skills;
• ability to work with students and faculty
• must be a team player
• reliability is a must
• enjoy working in the mornings, Fridays and weekends
• must be enrolled in 9 or more hours every semester
