Derek
Fisher is the Senior Systems Analyst for the EDS Financial Trading &
Technology Center in the McCombs School of Business at the
University
of
Texas
at
Austin
. He maintains all network operations and equipment of the Center,
including servers, workstations, and all computer hardware & software.
Derek
recently returned to campus having previously served in several
information technology and management positions with
UT-Austin
,
UT
System Administration, and UT-Tyler.
Most recently he was the Director of Information Technology for the
Texas Treasury Safekeeping Trust Company, a special purpose investment
management company that invests and manages funds on behalf of the State
of
Texas
. His wife Kristi is the
System-wide Compliance Supervisor at UT System Administration.
They have a daughter in elementary school and a son in pre-school.
