Data Feeds

The FTTC Classroom has 38 Pentium III workstations with access to financial data from Reuters and StockVal.  The classroom also has two computers for access to the Bloomberg financial data.

Reuters

Reuters is a real-time financial data service provider of instant quotes and statistics on a wide variety of financial instruments in the U.S. financial markets.

StockVal  

StockVal is part of Bridge and presents stock information in a graphical format through customized graphs, financial statements, and other company statistics.

Bloomberg

Bloomberg is a self-contained, stand alone data feed which has an extremely broad array of services.  The Bloomberg range of services is constantly growing and as such, it is impossible to make an exhaustive list of services.

FTS Game

Financial Trading Simulation Game enables students to learn trading skills by buying and selling in a realistic market simulation.  This game is used in many of our introductory finance courses as well as special programs.

Teaching Assistants are always on hand to assist students and professors with any questions on the use of the data-feeds.  Every semester, we holds training seminars on the data-feeds taught by our TAs.  Please check the center event page to find out when the next training seminar will be held.
