| Professor
Hadaway is the Director of the EDS Financial Trading and Technology
Center and a member of the finance faculty at the McCombs School of
Business. Presently she teaches in the undergraduate business
program and the Business Honors Program. She serves on several
department, college and university committees. For fifteen years,
she served the University as Chair of the Council for Intercollegiate
Athletics for Women. As an associate professor of finance, she
served as Assistant Dean and Director of the MBA program from 1986 to
1989. Upon completion of a PhD in finance and economics at the
University of Alabama, Dr. Hadaway joined the finance faculty at the
University of Texas in September of 1980. She holds the Capital City
Savings Regents Fellowship in the McCombs School of Business.
Her research interests, focusing on financial
institutions, corporate governance issues and security laws, have resulted
in numerous publications in academic journals. Presently she is on
the board of Guaranty preferred Capital Corporation.
In the past, she has served on a number of boards including the
Advisory Council of the Employees Retirement System of Texas, the
University Credit Union Board of Directors, and The University of Texas
Co-op Board of Directors. Her husband, Samuel is founder and
principal of FINANCO, a financial consulting firm. She has a
sixteen-year-old daughter in high school and a married daughter living in
Houston with her husband and two sons. |
