classroom lab times
Mon - Thurs 8am - 8pm
Friday 8am - 5pm
Saturday CLOSED
Sunday 10am - 8pm
These times are restricted lab times for use only by Finance students currently registered in finance classes. If you are not registered for a class that is authorized to use the FTTC, you will be asked to leave the lab. Exceptions will be made only by faculty request on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the FTTC's Director, Dr. Beverly Hadaway.
The FTTC's available Lab times are posted on each day of the calendar. Due to the week nature of the classroom as a reservation facility, the lab times will be different each week. You should make it a habit to check this page daily. The times posted are times the lab is open for student use. All other times are closed. However, some of the class reservations on the calendar will periodically get cancelled, which will free up extra lab time occasionally. Therefore, we have an "open-door" policy where Finance students are always welcome to come to the FTTC to use the lab in the event that there was a class cancellation.
classroom reservations
The classroom/broadcast studio in the Center is available for faculty and student use by reservation only. Highest priority will be given to users that need the special capabilities of the Center such as access to the financial data feeds or arranging a video conference for a course. The Center's classroom may be reserved for particular meetings of an undergraduate or graduate course; however, courses will not be assigned to the classroom for an entire semester. Maximum capacity of the classroom is 50 persons.
Service fees may be applied for videotaping, video conferencing and special technology lab usage. Please contact the Center for more details on our service fees, (512) 475-7973.
public tours
Tours are conducted by request and depend on availability of the classroom. Please view the Center calendar for availability. Tours include brief overviews on the inception of the Center, an overview of the trading room and conference room and a brief presentation in the classroom. The tour can last anywhere between 15 - 30 minutes or can be customized to your needs or requests.
